Set up Alignear
Walk through onboarding, connect Linear, then configure clients and reports from the dashboard.

Alignear works with your Linear workspace so you can share cycle and custom reports with clients from one place.
Prerequisites
- Linear workspace access — Someone with permission to connect third-party apps for your Linear organization must complete the workspace connection step in onboarding (typically an organization admin or owner).
- Subscription — A paid plan must be active before you can finish onboarding and use the dashboard.
Onboarding
After you sign in, Alignear keeps you in Onboarding until setup is complete. The flow is:
- Connect your Linear workspace — Approve OAuth so Alignear can read teams, issues, and related data from Linear. There is no separate “integrations” settings page for this first connection; it happens here.
- Choose your plan — Pick a tier and complete checkout so your organization is activated.
- Connect your Linear team — Pick at least one Linear team to sync into Alignear. You can add more teams later from the dashboard.
When onboarding is finished, you land on the Dashboard. If Linear is disconnected or billing is not in good standing, Alignear sends you back into Onboarding (or open Billing from your account menu at the bottom of the sidebar when payment needs attention) until those requirements are met again.
Configuring Alignear
Add clients — Clients are the people you send reports to. In the sidebar, open Clients. Use Add client to create a record with a name and email. Clients belong to the currently selected team in the sidebar, so switch teams first if you manage more than one.
Enabling auto-send for cycle reports — Cycle reports summarize completed Linear cycles. In the sidebar, open Reports, then Cycle Reports. Choose Report settings, then use Cycle report settings. Turn on Auto-send reports when you want completed cycle reports emailed automatically, and pick one or more Clients who should receive them (auto-send stays off until at least one client is selected). You can still send a report manually from the menu on each cycle row when you prefer not to wait for auto-send.
Creating custom reports — Custom reports are saved filters over live Linear data. In the sidebar, open Reports, then Custom Reports. Use New report (or Create report when the list is empty). After you save a report, you can send or manage it from the list when you need something narrower than a full cycle summary.
