This Privacy Notice explains how Alignear ("Alignear", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use Alignear.

  • Authentication data: identity and authorization details received through sign-in providers (such as Linear OAuth).
  • Service usage data: interactions with reports, portals, notes, and related product features.

  • Billing data: subscription and transaction metadata provided by payment processors (we do not store full payment card details).

Information from integrations

When you connect third-party services (for example, Linear), we may receive data necessary to provide product functionality, such as workspace context, issue metadata, and related identifiers permitted by your integration settings.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide and operate Alignear features
  • authenticate users and secure accounts
  • process subscriptions and billing events
  • improve product quality, reliability, and support
  • communicate service updates and policy changes
  • send product, onboarding, and marketing emails as described in Marketing and product communications below
  • comply with legal obligations

Marketing and product communications

When you create an Alignear account or sign in through a connected provider, you agree that we may contact you at the email address associated with your account about Alignear and related offerings.

We may send:

  • Service and account messages needed to operate your account, such as security alerts, billing notices, and critical service announcements.
  • Product and usage communications, including release notes, feature updates, onboarding guidance, tips, and other information about how to use Alignear.
  • Marketing and promotional messages, such as announcements about new capabilities, events, trials, offers, or programs we believe may be relevant to your role.

We send optional product and marketing emails based on your consent when you register, and on our legitimate interest in operating and improving Alignear where permitted by law. Service-related emails are sent as needed to provide Alignear and may be sent even if you opt out of optional emails.

You can change your choices at any time:

  • In Alignear, open Settings and update your email preferences.
  • Use the unsubscribe link in any non-essential email.

We apply preference changes promptly. We may still send a confirmation or a message required by law or to protect your account.

Depending on your location, our legal bases may include:

  • performance of a contract
  • legitimate interests in operating and improving the service
  • compliance with legal obligations
  • consent (where required)

How we share information

We may share information with:

  • service providers that support hosting, analytics, authentication, communications, and payments
