Custom reports
Save filtered views over live Linear issue data and send focused client reports on demand or on a schedule.
Alignear is a client communication layer for teams using Linear. Custom reports let you save filter-based snapshots over live Linear data—narrower than a full cycle summary when clients need a specific slice of work.

Create a custom report
- Open Reports in the sidebar, then Custom Reports.
- Choose New report (or Create report when the list is empty).
- Set a title and description.
- Select Clients who should receive the report (required).
- Add filters: projects, milestones, labels, workflow states, assignees, priorities, or last-activity window.
- Use include/exclude modes per dimension as needed.
- Save the report.
Send a custom report
From the custom reports list:
- Use Send report on any row to deliver immediately.
- Check last-send metadata to see when a report was last delivered.
Optional auto-send
When editing a report, you can enable auto-send with:
- A start date
- A cadence in days (both are required together)
Leave auto-send off if you only send on demand.
Client portal
Sent custom reports appear in each client's portal alongside cycle reports. Clients read the filtered summary without access to your Linear workspace.
