Custom views
Share Linear issue views with specific clients in their portal—without giving them workspace access.
Alignear is a client communication layer for teams using Linear. Custom views let you expose selected Linear issue views to clients in their portal while your team keeps working entirely in Linear.
How it works
Alignear syncs Issue views from your connected Linear team. You cannot edit view filters in Alignear—views are read from Linear and kept in sync.
Sync views from Linear
- Open Custom Views in the Alignear sidebar.
- Choose Sync from Linear to pull the latest views (also runs when you add or sync a team).
Only Linear views with model_name of Issue appear in Alignear.
Manage client access
- Click a view card in the list.
- Open Manage clients to add or remove who can see the view in their portal.
- Newly added clients receive an email with a direct link to the shared view.
Each client only sees views you explicitly grant—not your full Linear workspace.
What clients see
In their portal, clients open shared views as read-only issue lists with the filters you defined in Linear. This is useful when a client needs ongoing visibility into a project or label without a full cycle report.
