Notes
Capture meeting topics from Linear comments with @alignear note keywords, and learn about the meeting notes agent for bulk ticket creation.
Alignear is a client communication layer for teams using Linear. This guide covers two related capabilities: Notes (available in the dashboard today) and the meeting notes agent (coming soon).
Notes — capture topics from Linear
Notes let you capture discussion topics from Linear comments and carry them into your next team meeting. Mention @alignear with a note keyword in any issue comment, then run your team's intelligence sync.
How to use
In any Linear issue comment, type:
@alignear [note keyword] [your note]
Alignear captures the note and groups it for your next meeting.
Examples
@alignear note this Make sure we confirm timeline changes with the client.
@alignear take note Review the API rate limits before the client demo.
@alignear keep a note Follow up on the design feedback from last sprint.

Dashboard inbox
Open Notes in the sidebar to review captured notes grouped by pending status and date. You can mark notes complete, reopen them, delete them, or open the linked Linear issue.
Notes are internal to your team—clients do not see them in the portal.
Meeting notes agent — coming soon
Note: The meeting notes agent is not yet available in the Alignear dashboard UI. The workflow below describes the planned capability.
The meeting notes agent converts planning sessions and client calls into structured Linear issues:
- Paste or upload notes from a meeting.
- Alignear's agent identifies features, bugs, tasks, and decisions.
- Structured Linear issues are created in your workspace with titles, descriptions, and enough context to triage immediately.
Tips for when it ships
- Include clear action items and owners in your raw notes.
- Mention the Linear team or project in the notes header.
- Review created issues before sharing cycle progress with clients.
Issues created from meetings will flow into the same Linear cycles your cycle reports summarize.
